There wouldn't be so many crashes if you used your eyes and kept a good distance from the car in front.
All these toys reduces your ability to make decisions and ignore what is going on around you so you can play with your phone. If manufacturers have been able to fit these toys to reduce accidents, then it proves that drivers were not driving correctly in the first place.
Impatience = speed and lack of situational awareness = messing with something else and not reading the road are the main causes of accidents, baring driving under the influence.

Slim, yes I know how it works, but people rely on these things to drive rather than making their own decisions early. Same with auto gearboxes of which you don't have as much control of the cars speed as with a manual, you have to rely on your brakes to slow you down, not much use in snow and icy weather.

I will take my hat off to the person retrofitting one, I doubt that car mechanics without all the instructions supplied by Mazda would be able to do it.
I was talking to an apprentice at my dealer, and he said he had 3 'A' Levels, which is University entrance qualifications, so asked where they in Maths, Physics and Computer Science ( ie STEM subjects). But no, Biology, Art and Business Studies ( what ever they are). He had no desire to take more academic studies on his mechanics course, which is perhaps a bit thin on Maths and Science anyway.

With the advent of EV-ils any problem requires a visit from a Head Office Engineer, they are not taught how to fault find plus if there is a fault in a box, its throw the box away and fit a new one. And those boxes are expensive, what ever they do. But then who would want an EV-il. They are less carbon free than if using fossil fuel.
BTW the radar and camera (SCBS)brakes before the person reacts. so blablabla, your reaction time is?

I fitted MRCC to 3 Mazda6 I owned(2015 and 2016with no FSC and 2018 with FSC ) - at present 6 it from factory and once it saves from crash even I was aware but electronics was quicker

Point is when snowing . Badge remains under the snow and MRCC turns off and then no cruise at all. It’s nordic stuff - we have here snow 4month :). And I never used LIM - pointless option
Edit - simple 23 B4 b6b5b4 change to 011 dont do that - LIM disappeared but thats all

Those who installed MRCC , according to the manual non-Europe cars can change between normal and MRCC ,Euto can change between MRCC and LIM . Did anybody with eurocar have possibility change betveen normal and MRCC.

MRCC itself dont need FSC at all, its SBS that need. I installed MRCC to 6 (radar from cx3) with no Fsc and all works without any dtc. When SBS option needed then you need full set ( compatible fsc and radar)

Yes, but what exactly i need to rewrite? I have only original AsBuilt data
Dont have cx9 data but is ig similar to
Finally I have MRCC in my Mazda CX-5 2019!!!!!! The problem was in the line 23. In my case, in adittion of the line 17 and 18, I had to change line 23. Everything is working as expected. To help another people my original lines were the following:
7200417BF0510000016
7200418000000BF0608
72004230000BF092137
And the correct ones to MRCC is the following:
7200417BF0572B4204C
7200418600F00BF0677
72004230000BF095167
thanks to all the people who contributed in this forum in particular to:

This feature is amazing and also it is the closest to the autonomous driving!!!

probably your problem is Mazda6 VCM module - Mazda 3 part nr B45A-67-Y1XG

DTC C1A67:56 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE)]

System malfunction location
Radar sensor setting information error
Detection condition
• The setting information sent from the radar sensor is different from the setting information of the vehicle control module (V/C-module).
Fail-safe
• Inhibits the mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
• Inhibits the smart brake support (SBS) system control
Possible cause
• Radar sensor malfunction
• Vehicle control module (V/C-module) malfunction

I have done over 10 MRCC retrofits and none have required the change of the ABS unit. the only thing that might require a different ABS unit is for Stop and go, that I believe its done by the Parking brake module.

just by changing the As-build data SBS and SCBS works
maybe M3 is different - I retrofited also many MRCC but only M6 and CX5 and no need to change ABS

Hi,

I also had the same doubt about that module, if I am not wrong is located on the right side of the foot rest from the passenger side. I really didn't check if I had it already installed or not....but I installed the radar, wired and coded it and it worked.

I have to point some facts about my installation:
- the radar is from a CX-3
- prior to the radar I also retrofitted the FSC, and when installing the radar I had to exchange the camera for other reference because of camera-radar incompatibility. If you only retrofit the radar I think this is not likely to happen (according to what rixm6 experience)
- I connected the radar directly to the HS CAN line because the pre-wiring of my car seemed to be damaged due to a front collision I had several months ago

I think that either that module is none existing (rare) or, if you have SCBS, is already pre-installed because when researching for it seemed to be linked to radar-PCM-ABS communications (as SCBS is).

Let's see if rixm6 can give you additional information.
VCM needed 3 BM 2013-2014 and 2014 6 GJ - after 2015 radar connected directly to CAN bus and FSC not mandatory for MRCC (my previous GJ 2015 didn't have FSC but MRCC and DRSS working without that)

Installed CX3 radar to my previous car (Mazda6 ) two years ago - so it possible with right coding
I thought you had retrofitted your car with Mazda 6 radar. Great to know you also suceded. The more combinations the better to help others.

Did you had FSC installed before radar fitting?. In my case I had previously retrofitted FSC camera from CX-3 but once the radar was installed and coded (I tried severall codes) it thrown errors related to miscomunication with FSC. So I research I little more and then I found that there was a CX-3 specific camera reference for cars equipped with adaptative cruise. I found one, changed it and voila it all started to work.
When I had 2015 Mazda6 I don’t fited FSC only MRCC radar. Now I have 2017 model with FSC and again fitted MRCC radar

Hi all expert here!!

I have a Mazda 6 2.2D 2017 with SBSC and without MRCC. it has electric parking switch but without autohold. so these are my questions that need your guidance:
1) If I can get hold of autohold switch, can I enable auto hold with IC configuration?
2) can you point me to which forum I can do more mod with Forscan? I want to get familiarize with this first before MRCC.

thanks for helping and I'm sure your guidance will be much appreciated.

Best regards,
WK
1. autohold needs different PB module - you can’t simple activate this

2. This forum I think is world better asduild topic
