SRI or Stock/Performance filter

So, I've been reading some good reviews, and some bad reviews regarding SRI's on this forum. And I need a final thread to dictate myself.

SRI's, are they good or bad for the 3rd Gen Skyactiv engine.

Some say it increases horsepower by a small fraction, others say it doesn't. Is it merely for sound, will it remove some horsepower from my car?

I found the aFe Takeda cold air intake that utilizes the stock mounts. Will this negate the possible horsepower loss?

Or, should I swallow my pride of an SRI/CAI, and get a drop-in K&N air filter, which as proven by online sources has improved, albeit minor performance gains?

What do you all think?

For me it is part of the thrill of driving, regardless of anything that is gained or lost. You won't gain anything very noticeable power wise. I'd say the JBR SRI on my car revs a bit more freely vs the oem airbox with drop-in AEM filter, but nothing I can really prove. What I can prove is the smile on my face every time I drop the hammer. MPG did not change.
