First post here. Ive done some reading and searching via google to see if anyone else has had this specific issue. Lots of squeaks with sway bars and seats but nothing...so here it is. I have heard the squeaks for awhile now and havent been able to narrow it down until today. Squeak is coming from the front passenger side outside of the car, only when I accelerate and let off gas a bit. I did this about ten times this afternoon consecutively and consistently it made the noise. doesnt matter the speed Im going as soon as I accelerate and take my foot off gas it makes the noise. I have not had it in to dealer to be checked yet

Any ideas?

So just a quick update regarding this noise. I had the car into the dealer to have 32 k service and I told him about the squeak. He finished my thought as I said " I have a squeak..." " ...in front right wheel well area?" Yup that's it. He informed me that it was the air conditioner clutch. And that there is no fix for it yet. So apparently lots of people have been having this issue. After service was done on car, I started driving and turned on ac and sure enough as I pushed the ac button while driving the squeak was very evident.

Just an update with my issue. Hope this helps others narrow it down

Thanks for the info. I don't have this problem, but this should help anyone who does.

If it's annoying have the dealer fix it. Mazda didn't design it with squeaks. "That's the way it is cause there's no fix" is a BS answer from your dealer. If they can't fix it they need to replace it. I had a 2010 and now I have a 2011. I live in Florida and I blast the A/C everyday. I've never had a squeak with my A/C at any rpm.. Call Mazda Corporate in Cali if the dealer doesn't give you satisfaction.

you need to stand your ground with those guys. your car is still under warranty so get that taken care of. we baught my wife's certified used pilot this past winter and when summer time came around, we found out the a/c wasn't working. i called the dealership and they said there was nothing they could do blah blah blah and a few phone calls later, not only was the a/c fixed, we got bran new firstone destination LE tires on it for free. If the dealer says he can't help you, ask for his manager. if the manager says there's nothing he can do, keep climbing the ladder.

Do you have a manual or auto? I have a squeak going on in the same area, but mine only happens when I put the clutch in. I can hear it through 1st-3rd and it probably goes through all gears, but road noise gets too much and drowns out the squeak. I think it even happens in reverse, but because of how that gear is cut it's difficult.
