ALERT: Many of you are downloading Mazda Firmware from You-Tube or other sources...
UNLESS You know WHAT you are doing DO NOT...!!
WHY: Well you are either downloading Firmware for WRONG Country or Region or you are NOT Downloading the Complete Set of Files. MUST have separate Fail-Safe.up and Reinstall.up Files and YOU MUST install each in the correct order (the Smallest Fail-Safe File is First).
Only the late 70's to 74 Firmware is a ONE FILE Only Install.
RESULTS: Well many are ONLY Downloading or Installing the One OS file and Not the Other leaving you with a Mismatched CMU Versions Set-up which can be very difficult to rectify depending on the TWO Mismatch Versions, Or, Most of these are NA N for USA Canada ONLY.

CARPLAYTM + ANDROID AUTO CONVERSION...Warning...!
Some of you are installing your New Aux Hub and 2 Cables BEFORE you have Updated to 74.00.324A FIRMWARE...!
Well it will Never work as YOU MUST have a working 70 to 74 Firmware installed and running in your car FIRST, AFTER that You then install your 3 new parts, AUX HUB and TWO Large USB Cables.
CP/AA will never work any other way.
If so, YOU MUST REVERSE YOUR New HARDWARE INSTALLATION BACK TO THE ORIGINAL OLD FACTORY SET-UP.
TURN ON and USE TO MAKE CERTAIN Cars 'MZD Connect' IS WORKING 'As Normal'.
Now You INSTALL the Correct 74 FIRMWARE for your Car and Region, then use it so you know your Mazda MZD Connect WORKS Normally, You will NOT See any CP/AA Until New AUX HUB is Installed.
LASTLY, YOU TURN OFF CAR AND START THE NEW 'AUX HUB' and Pair of Large USB Cables INSTALL (to the back of CMU to the back of New AUX Hub)....OK
THERE ARE NO SHORT-CUTS ...
NOW YOU SHOULD SEE A WORKING CARPLAY or ANDROID AUTO in Your Mazda MZD Connect Screen.

NOTE: 74.00.324A is NOW THE FINAL FIRMWARE as a Standalone Update from MAZDA as all Mazda Cars using this .up Firmware is now OUT OF Car PRODUCTION and No Longer Installed in any New Mazda's made from 2024.
Mazda no longer Issues ANY New Updates to it's Dealers past 74.00.324.
IF YOU Are Currently Using ANY Outdated 70.00.xxx's Firmware Version(s) then I strongly advise you install the Best and Last Updated Version of 74.00.324A as there are up to 50 different Bugs and Issues Fixed or Resolved between old Version(s) 70. and Latest 74.00.324.

YES, you MUST Install correct 74.00.324A (74.00.324) Firmware FIRST for your Region and Run/Use it in your car for as long as you like....you DO NOT Have to do the new Aux Hub Conversion for CP/AA, but by Installing 74.00.324 your car has the best bug free Mazda MZD Connect available, this Single .up File is VERY EASY to Install, 97% of ALL Gen 6 Mazda's Only Need to update with this ONE File.

4A N (ADR) is for Australia-NZ, Asia (except Japan +China), Middle East, Brazil, Chile, Pacific Oceania.
EU N is for Europe and UK.
NA N is for North America, USA, Canada, Mexico.
JP M is for Japan only, nobody has any copies, please do not ask me.
NOTE: AFTER this 74.00.324A Firmware install and in normal use You Will NOT see any information about CP/AA UNTIL and AFTER you install (fit) the THREE Genuine Mazda Parts LAST, you will then see the working CP/AA User Interface (UI) after you have installed latest App on your Phone and Connected Phone to AUX HUB with USB media cable.
Make sure your 'Android Auto' Phone App is also the very latest update available too.
Only use the Genuine or Quality Phone Power Lead/Cable that came with Phone between the Phones Port and the new Mazda 'AUX Hub' on Wired Connections Only.
YES, you MUST Purchase the Three Genuine Mazda Parts and then Fit them LAST.

This Thread is NOT for Tweaks or ANY other way to install CP/AA (which does not work anyway and usually will end up costing you more $$s).

TAKE NOTE!!! :
You can not rename THE downloaded File Name whatsoever.
You can not have ANY OTHER file or files or folders on the USB Flash Drive.
You Do not have anything connected to other USB Ports.
You must ONLY have the correct .up file(s) on a small FAT32 (about 16GB) Flash Drive, file CAN NOT be in a .zip or .rar format ONLY in .up file.
IF still having issues of car CMU not seeing files on your USB Flash Drive when you plug into console port remove Drive and do a Full FAT32 RE-FORMATTING of your USB Flash Drive and Copy/Paste the .up File into Flash Drive again.
On a Windows PC do this to format..
Put small 16GB USB Drive into Windows USB Port, go to Start, This PC, RIGHT Click on the Flash Drive, Select Format.., Select FAT32, Select Start, click OK, all files on Drive will be Deleted and Drive Re-Formatted (cleaned).
Then Copy/Paste the new Firmware file(s) ONLY onto clean Flash Drive, remove from PC and try in your car USB Port again.
THE TYPES OF USB FLASH DRIVES YOU MUST USE....
IF you are using any MacOS PC to download file then that WILL also corrupt your Flash Drive as Macs INSTALL a ''hidden file'' onto YOUR flash drive and the car CMU will not see THE file.
MAZDA ONLY supports MS-Intel Windows 64bit OS and is used by all car makers for Diagnostic and Maintenance UPDATES in their Automobiles.
Apple (Mac) systems is not supported or used by any car brands in Service Departments or for Diagnostics, period.
IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING ISSUES OF YOUR MAZDAs CMU NOT SEEING YOUR USB FLASH DRIVE with .up Files THEN CHANGE YOUR FLASH DRIVE BRAND or USE A DIFFERENT FLASH DRIVE and START AGAIN!.
CHANGELOG, see the NA N changelog in post #4 Below, although for North America all of the specific changes apply to EU N and 4A N too.
Improved symptoms-fixes depend on cars current software version.

WIRELESS carplaytm-androidauto is INCLUDED WITH GENUINE 74.00.324A FIRMWARE for your region which is also a normal Update progression from the now outdated software in your car.
HOWEVER one Must Also Purchase a New CMU from a 2021 ~ Model for OPTIONAL GENUINE MAZDA Wireless CP specific car and CMU as Not ALL 2021~ Models come standard from factory with a Wireless CP CMU.
GENUINE WIRELESS CARPLAY WILL NOT WORK ALONE WITHOUT this 74 Firmware and a NEW CMU (one meant for WCP), as far as I know those TWO things are all that are required with some minor cable port plug in modifications, the Firmware is Free and a New WCP CMU is about $800 USD FOR THE GENUINE MAZDA WIRELESS SYSTEM.
NOTE: NONE-GENUINE WIRELESS AUX HUBS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FROM ONLINE SELLER SINCE MID 2022, YOU MUST STILL PURCHASE WITH THEIR KIT WITH 2 LARGE CABLES + NEW AUX HUB.
7 OPTIONS ARE EITHER A GENUINE WIRED AUX HUB SYSTEM TO YOUR PHONE; or NON-GENUINE WIRELESS CARPLAY AUX HUB TO YOUR PHONE; or NON-GENUINE WIRELESS ANDROID-AUTO AUX HUB TO YOUR PHONE.
WHATEVER SETUP YOU BUY YOU MUST STILL PRIOR INSTALL REGION CORRECT 74.00.324A FIRMWARE BEFORE YOU INSTALL ANY AUX HUB KIT.
74.00.324A Firmware is now the Final (last) version available.
