I've pushed out some big updates the past week. The app should be easier to install as well. Help spread it to other forums and make videos. I've been working on it for weeks when I should have been looking for paying work. It is a really great app and it's free.

Bro thank you very much for this app. Really appreciate it. BTW How do you convert Celsius to Fahrenheit? How wish this can take up the whole screen instead of sharing it with my Waze screen.

Go into unit conversions. It is in the dropdown.drop down. Change the unit to F.

As far as the EOT I've read the same thing that it is calculated but it can differ pretty heavily from the coolant temperature. I'm not sure how people came to that conclusion but it does not seem calculated to me.

Does your car actually have an oil temp sensor? If not its a calculated value.....No SA-G motor to date has an oil temp sensor.....

It doesn't seem calculated to me. I've been monitoring it for the past couple of weeks and it looks legit. Oil temps take a really long time to reach optimal operating temps, literally takes a good 20 minutes of driving for the oil temps to reach 190f + from a cold start.

If it is calculated its behaves like a real temp monitor.

Really great stuff in that app and pid list. I don't even use the torque app anymore because this works so well.

The only thing thats a bit annoying but not that big of a deal is the vacuum reading. Its still in negative psi instead of mercurial inches. I tried using the calculation to convert it but the problem is when it goes into boost, it throws off the boost numbers because its no longer reading boost in psi.

Is it possible to program the conversion with an "if" statement over zero ?

Thats what I noticed as well. It seems to accurate. Maybe the temp sensor is embedded in another part like the oil pump and people assume it doesn't have a sensor because you can't buy it separately. See the boolean logic in the dropdown for the example of using an if statement.

I just bricked my dongle trying to update the firmware which is great.

I figured it was something like that. A thermistor is probably less than a dollar when bought in bulk. It wouldn't make sense for them to estimate the value. OBD Fusion had a ton of interesting PIDs. They paid Mazda for the full list. It even has the relative speed of the car in front with the radar. If someone could get those PIDs either by sniffing the Bluetooth packets or decompiling the APK we could start to make a comprehensive list.

I figured out some of those pids and am sniffing some.of the other interesting ones and checking against scan tool data. If I have time to seriously get after it I will. The Knock Retard pid for example is not scaled correctly and reads quite a bit higher than actual KR.

That is great. I'd love to see what you have so far and make a comprehensive list. I imported a few lists and kept everything if anything worked. I've been focusing on the app too much to clean up the list I made. What is your process for scraping the PIDs?

I'm currently looking for the relevant AWD ones including coupling temp, differential temp and commanded rear torque. Process is super cumbersome right now. For example for the charge air temp I pinged the canbus with known good addresses until it returned a response. Verified the formula was good and checked against scan tool data.

@Ka91

Really enjoying this. Thank you.

Any new pids available?

Bump! Is there a preferred OBD II dongle everyone is using? I ran my first driving class/track day yesterday and would really like to monitor Trans temp! I think my Scanguage can do it, but there are a lot of other features on TorquePro I would like to learn to use.
I've always used extra gauges or the SG II up until now.

Not sure what everyone is using but I have this and it works perfectly fine. Cheap and cheerful
