With a cruise like understood. Has come time for other useful functions.

Ok, there I go,

original IC:

7200419 100000200074

Original FSC (from a Mazda CX3, although my assumption is that all the cameras are the same hardware/firmware with some adaptations)

70601014720513000F7
70601022C000000003C
7060103000000000011
7060104000012

70602012C000000003C
7060202000000000011
7060203000012

With this configuration and touching nothig LDWS appears on HUD but not on CMU (so no chance to configure it) and no DTC

Keeping FSC untouched and changing IC to:

7200419 9000002000F4

Appears LDWS and HBC on CMU and a DTC on IC (with no info related to, only wrong configuration). With this LDWS marks appear and above 60 km/h they become solid but no beep or rumble when crossing road lines.

Then I tried several configs on FSC according to Nikodim:

70601026C82000000FE

and

70601026C80000000FC

but none change the behaviour of LDWS (I mean it shows up reads the road marks but does not operate when crossing lines), of ocurse none of them changed the behavior of HBC (not working but showing on CMU menu).

Finally now I have restored the FSC to the original config and changed the IC to (similar to Ghost1968):

7200419 C00000200024

the DTC remains, HBC remains not functional, but LDWS has become LKAS. It shows on HUD, but does not allow me to select notification (beep or similar). Tomorrow I will test if at leats the steering vibrates when crossing lines.

Any idea or help would be great.

I forgot to summarize my car config, is a Mazda 3 BM, with SCBS, ALH Xenon, AKE, HUD and front and rear parking sensors. The camera is a DB2R 67XCX first gen (similar to that of Mazda 2 described by Nikodim)

Thanks in advance.

#3,599 ·
You definitely have FSC 1-st gen. while the both referenced by You users have 2-nd gen. I havily suspect that your failing with HBC is caused by the improper B0 byte in 706-01-01. Try there to use 23 or 21 or 25 instead of your 47. I'll bet that should help You. Good luck

#3,604 ·
Hi, tried with all the values you proposed, 25 and 23 make the HBC selection on CMU to stay ticked but function is not working (no yellow or green symbol on IC except when switching ignition on and all the icons are tested). 21 gives incompatible AFS module configuration.

Moreover the IC DTC appears just when changing 720-04-19 B0 bit from 10 to 90.

I am completely stucked, I have tried other FSC configs but I have come to the conclusion that there is something more on IC that is not allowing the camera to work properly.

Now I have let the IC config untouched, so no CMU menu, but I can still activate the LDWS with the cluster switch (although it gives no signal when crossing lines even with solid lines on the LDWS icon on HUD).

Any idea?

IMHO, that's already some progress! At least that means the deduction of 706-01-01 B0 b6 & b5 bits are correct for FSC gen.1.
As for me that was the main reason why the tick over HBC ON in CMU menu has been reset earlier & now holds ticked, I'd say that the FSC gives the permission to use HBC, & I'd recommend to keep B0 as 25 (or 23 in your case), like:
706010123205130xxx
70601022C81xxxxxxx
70602012C81xxxxxxx

The next step would be to deduct what's wrong with your IC config. It'll take some time

#3,753 ·
Hello! Can you tell me what the IC block is responsible for? I try to activate LAS, but at record 7200416 and 7200419 writes that incompatible configuration.
Blocks 706 01 01, 706 01 02, 706 01 03 same as in the message Ghost1968 but block 720 01 16 is different...
Here are my values.
7200416 400000000081
7200419 100000100064
Maybe there are thoughts which values to change?

#3,611 ·
Nikodim, you are the master.

As proposed by you, I left FSC untouched with the 23 and followed IC combinations, finally the 51 was the correct one.
Saved it, cleared all DTCs and voila no DTC present and LDWS and HBC started to work.

New icons appeared on IC (the car crossing the lines and the green headlight with the "A"). When crossing road marks the rumble sounds and the picture on HUD changes. Everything perfect.

Do you think that it could be possible to get also steering vibration?. I have not seen any PID on the EPS module related to that but, who knows...

Again, many thanks

The only point remaining is what the heck means that 51 on B0 bit of 720-04-19.

Hi,

I own a Miata (MY 2016) and am stating to get into all this 01 shenanigans right now. So far I tried to check the IC because I want to unlock the low washer fluid sensor which is not active in Europe. Checking into this I noticed that the IC abt has as many Values in Block 4 as the Mazda 2 and CX-3 have. If I check the normal IC table of the spreadsheet it's not as many values.

Do you happen to know any place to get started how to figure out what each bit does?

#3,609 ·
I need the switch for the tank yes, the wiring is actually prepared.

One thing I wanted to do as well was changing the language of the IC to Japanese, following the given spreadsheet. But changing the bits in the first block to the JPN w/i TPMS just made the IC go haywire and the SRS module throwing trouble codes. Everything was being reset and the DTC deleted, bummer I was very exited for this.

In my M2 I had there 41 original (with original LDWS equipped but without steering wheel vibration due to no proper PID in EPS). By experimenting there I found with 51 the HBC appeared in CMU menu, but no HBC working (exactly as You described the tick over HBC in menu disappearing in few seconds & no proper icons in IC present). That was already much later when I deducted the FSC bits enabling the HBC to be relayed to IC.

My original were:
7060101453051300005
70601022C000000003C
...
70602012C000000003C
&
7200419410000100095

Finally I've ended up with:
7060101453051300005
70601026C80000000FC
...
70602014C80000000DC (6C80 doesn't like to keep in my case, after restarting the ignition keeps resetting to 4C80)
&
72004195100001000A5 (HBC appeared in CMU menu).

There I had to stop as I'm far away from my M2. Analyzing my failure I've come to conclusion that exactly the bits b5 & b6 in B0 of 7060101 have to be changed for my success & now all I've to do coming back to my M2 is just to change the line in FSC to:
70601012530511000xx
(10 here according to previous studies in this branch supposed to reduce the LDWS warning speed from 60 km/h to 40 km/h)

Hello Nikodim

I have FSC : DA6B-67XCX-B (1st generation)

Originally i have not HBC with LDWS=60km/h:
7060101 47 20 51 30 00 F7
7060102 2C 00 00 00 00 3C
720-04-19 4100 0010 0095
If I understand your proposal, to activate HBC I change only

7060101 27 20 51 30 00 D7

and if I want HBC + LDWS=40km/h
7060101 27 20 51 10 00 B7
that's right?

#3,613 ·
Huge amount of try and fail tests I suppose. I spent three nights playing blindfold with IC and FSC values as my only reference was the excel file and all the posts on this thread.

But I got completely stuck and was afraid of locking something on IC, that's why I asked for your help and support.

Today I have been changing leds from my cluster switch to the new one with LDWS button (it was from a first gen CX5 and thus orange colored).

Now the only remaining thing is to ask for price for a new windshield with camera mounts (not difficult but for sure expensive).

Hi all,

with the latest findings of @Nikodim and @fcorivas I gave a new tryout to enable the HBC on my mazda cx3.

I did the following:

My CX-3 has FSC with original configuration:
706-01-01 4720 5130 00F7
706-01-02 2C00 0000 003C
706-01-03 0000 0000 0011
706-01-04 0000 12

Changing to:
706-01-01 2720 5130 00
706-01-02 2C81 0000 00
706-01-03 0000 0000 00
706-01-04 0000

706-02-01 2C81 0000 00

And Changing the line:
720-04-19-4100001000

To:
720-04-19-5100001000

I got no dtc and I can enable the hbc on the menu. The option stays ticked and i get the dash led when i activate the hbc.
However, i think hbc is still not working properly because the blue High Beam light stays on all the time when i'm stopped ( How Does Mazda High Beam Control Work? )

I also tried the nikodim suggestion, configuring the following line but got the same behavior
706-01-02 6C80 0000 00
706-02-01 6C80 0000 00

Could not get a chance to try in a dark road/passing by cars. Is this an expected behavior??

Hi,

could you please provide the FSC model you have on your car?. Mine was a CX3 model (DB2R-67XCX) originally set 706-01-01 4720 5130 00F7 as yours, so if both data are equal (I mean camera model and config) then 706-01-01 2320 xxxx xxxx should do the trick (together with 706-01-02 2C81xxxx xxxx) at least on FSC.

On the other hand the problem is IC config, my understanding is that Mazda 3 and CX3 are not equal and then some more research should be done.

About how it works:

Dark road, light switch in auto, only low beams, switch to high beams (while in auto) then the green light with the "A" inside appears but the lights remain in low beams. Drive the car on a dark road with no road light or other cars around and then it switches to high beams and blue icon lights on. If a car appears on the road or you stop the car, then high beams switch to low automatically (and thus the blue light disappears).

Keep us posted about your progress. I will try to help as much as I can, but with the above config I think that the pending job is on IC.

#3,619 ·
It's not clear which moment You've got the green "A" icon when You say having the blue high beam icon is ON while stopped.
If You're sure that your headlight switch is in "AUTO" position, high beam lever is also ON, You're driving below 12 mph (at this moment You should have the low beam ON & the green "A" present in IC).

Otherwise I'd suggest You to try the:

706010123xxxxxxx (not 27 as You have now)

#3,620 ·
Hi @Nikodim !

I have the green A icon as soon as long as I set the light control lever in auto and pushed forward. This happens either stopped or while driving.

The problem is that at the same time, I get the blue high beam light activated. The blue led just doesn't go off as it would be expected with forward traffic or below 12mph.

Also tried with 706010125xxxxxxx but nothing changed. Will try with 706010123xxxxxxx as soon as I can. I came up with 706010127xxxxxxx as it was the configuration I found while looking for the asbuilt data from other Cx3 vehicles with HBC factory option.

Your configuration is currently working with hbc in your M2?

#3,621 ·
According to the underneath applied instruction among the conditions for green HBC indicator light You can see that while the vehicle is stopped it's not active. Be sure to start moving slowly (under 12 mph) in the dark time, You should see the green HBC indicator to appear & headlights to switch to low beam. Increasing the speed over 18 mph with no lighting around should switch to high beam ON

I'm far from my M2 for the next couple of months & cannot check & confirm HBC operation.
Try to keep connected to your OBD2 (in Forscan via USB or Bluetooth) & check the PID signals like HBC_H/L_CS & IL_ST_HBC while stopped & moving. When You find the HBC_H/L_CS switching to Hi-request/Lo-request that means the FSC sends signals correctly & problem should be in IC config (not accepting & fulfilling them, probably the 720041951 doesn't suit You & your IC combination should be different).

If instead the problem comes from HBC_H/L_CS indicating "Invalid" the only idea is to suggest You to try then 70601012330xxx instead of your 70601012720xxx
