Will 16" rims fit?

Hi, I think I already know the answer to my question but I wanted to double and triple check before I make a very expensive mistake. I have a 2015 Mazda 3s so it came with 18" rims. I would like to get a set of winter tires/rims and I want to go as low as 16" wheels to have more side wall on the tires. So my question is will 16" wheels fit my 3s without the brake calipers hitting or rubbing against the wheels?

Circling back to this old post...Did your car ride better with the 16" tires? My Mazda 3 has 18" rims/low-profile tires. I am wondering if 16" rims with conventional tires will give it a smoother ride.
The ride on 16" rims compared to 18" rims will be more comfortable, soft, and in turn sloppy, most noticeably when turning and stopping due to the higher sidewall of the 16" tires. So if you value comfort over performance then going with 16" wheels/tires is the way to go. They also cost less than 18" ones. Just make sure you get the right size 16" tires so the outer circumference of the tire matches your OEM 18" tires so you don't throw off the speedometer and odometer.
