Hello ladies and gentlemen. I am new to the forum stuff but i have a 2013 mazda 3i Touring hatchback 2.0 and I really wanna turbo it. Ive seen the compression ratio is anywhere from 14:1 to 9:1. If i cant turbo it what can i do for some serious power boost (Other than selling the car) PLEASE HELP ME!

First things first, is it the Skyactiv model? If so, this limits your want for boost. Skyactiv engines are extremely high compression, and therefore, can only run minimal amounts of boost without going zoom zoom boom. That being said, they can be boosted, and with only 3-4psi can make good numbers.
If it is a standard Mazda engine, it can be boosted no problem, although it will all have to be custom and will be time consuming, and expensive.
Most people will say what everyone says. If you want serious power, sell it and buy a speed, but I know that some people don't want to sell their rides, and might want to be different/do some of their own work.
So, without it being a major pain in the ass and having to fabricate/source all your components (turbo, oil lines, water lines, intercooler and piping, intake, downpipe etc), Mathew Wilson at OrangeVirus Tuning makes turbo kits, which include everything needed for all Mazda 3 models. His website is at: OrangeVirus Tuning
No, I'm not getting paid from him to say this, just telling the truth. He has been proven to be one of the best tuners in the Mazda game and his turbo kits are the real deal. Here is a video of one of his kits/tuning on a 2.5 Mazda 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etTO_kZPKTQ
I would say contact Mat and have a chat if you are serious about boosting your ride. Other than that, to get the most out of your N/A engine, you can do the bolt on's (intake, cat back, extractors/headers) and than get it tuned by Mat, which will boost the whp from around 120whp to 150-160whp (depending on fuel octane and other conditions), but you will need boost to have a serious increase in power.

Hope this helps ya, any questions let me know, but whether you want an ordinary N/A tune, or a turbo kit and tune, Mat will be able to sort you out :).

OV Tuning announced that they will have a skyactiv 2.0 turbo kit for your car later this year. They've already tested an electric supercharger tuned kit on the same car. @Statiqz is right in recommended them, as they are the most reputable company for tuning skyactiv's. The turbo kit should be fairly low boost to deal with the high compression engine, and limits of the stock high pressure fuel pump (there is no aftermarket option yet). The 2nd gen skyactiv 2.0 (2012-13; your car) will be safer to boost, as its only achieving 12:1 peak compression ratio, whereas 3d generation Mazda 3s (2014+) got peak compression ratio increased to 13:1 since the 4-2-1 header could fit in the engine bay.

In terms of power gains, the stock 2nd gen Mazda 3 skyactiv 2.0 makes around 130-140 dynojet whp. You can get this up to 155-165 whp with an intake, header, cat-back exhaust, and 91-94 octane gas combined with an OV tune. The tune also helps with cruise fuel economy. I suggest you start with a intake/exhaust/OV Tune, than go with a turbo kit when its available, if you still crave more power. You will want to do the intake/exhaust mods before the turbo anyway. With full bolt-ons and a 94 octane tune, the car is actually quite fun to drive. Join the Mazda 3 Tuning Group Facebook page to get OV Tuning updates. I hope it takes longer to drop, solely for the sake of my bank account! The second I see a turbos for the 2.0 SKY, I get out my wallet haha.
