I really love the little lip spoiler that comes on the 2.5L (I've got the 2.0 :blush 1:) and am looking into spicing up my 3i Touring sedan a bit. I was at the dealer a little while ago for an oil change and standard inspection, so while I was waiting I hit up the parts department and inquired on buying one right from the dealer. Even though it seemed like a pretty common part, it took them forever to find it in their parts catalogue and then they quoted me somewhere in the range of like 400 for the part and another 100 in installation. I tried real hard not to laugh out loud when he said that.

I've seen them online and on eBay for like 130-200 bucks (some just primed, some already paint matched) and was wondering if anyone has gone this route?

1.) Has the paint matched up well?
2.) I've seen some use the screws and drill holes in trunk lid as well as just double sided tape. Anyone with the tape? How's that holding up?
3.) I feel like I've seen two different styles to the trunk lid spoiler... one looks smaller and like a ridge and I could've sworn I saw one that looked a little more "pronounced" and kind of turned up at the end of it. I really liked it.

While I'm on the topic of add-on OEM accessories... I'd also LOVE to grab a set of the factory side skirts but the ONLY option I've seen for those is OEM and even when ordered online through another vendor, the cheapest I've found for the pair is somewhere north of 400 bucks. Seems a bit ridiculous for some plastic skirts. But hey... they quoted me like 400 for the little lip spoiler so I guess I'm just gonna have to shell out for the look I want unless anyone else has had better luck finding them cheaper?

Great link! I just watched them tow a train car with that tape. Amazing how that stuff conforms to the surface and even stretches but doesn't let go. Looks like issue won't be the spoiler falling off, but making sure you align the spoiler PERFECT the first time, because that bish aint comin off with that tape!

Awesome, thanks for trying it out. Let us know how that stuff holds up. From the looks of the video, I imagine you shouldn't have any problems so long as you prep both surfaces well.

update: i did received my lip spoiler and i thought it need 3m 2 sided tape but im wrong. it came with all the harware and need to drill a 4 hole and screw it to the spoiler. if i have a change today i might install both my redline hood lift and lip spoiler.
