SCBS (Smart City Brake System) malfunction

All,

I have a 2014 Mazda 3 and my amber SCBS (Smart City Brake System) malfunction light has come on. It comes on every start up and I can't seem to make it go away. There are no DTCs being triggered and I have tried disconnecting the battery hoping it would reset the module but issue is still there. Any advice?

Is there any other way I can reset or recalibrate the SCBS?

Have you checked the settings for it? I know it can be turned off/on for a single trip and the distance to trigger an alert can be adjusted.

It's most likely related to the radar though.

So I just have a simple setting for mine, which is just to deactivate it during the drive cycle. This brings up its own symbol on the cluster. I did try that aswell but the amber malfunction symbol still remains.

yes you can reset it in the settings in the console. If it is under warranty you can get it repaired and or replaced. I hired a lemon law atty cuz Mazda kept putting me off. I got 2500 from mazda plus a 100k extended warranty
