Hello, I serviced my car about a month ago and they quoted me almost 800 USD for both front control arms and links replacement. I know the parts are way cheaper and that I can even only change the bushings although I'm having trouble identifying the correct part numbers. Based on the picture below I cannot pinpoint the exact part numers for #3 and #4.

I have a mazda 3 IS 2016 2.0

I planned to replace similar control arm bushes on my previous car (Ford Mondeo Mk3)

Having removed the control arms, without having access to a press, it was well nigh impossible to press them out so resorted to buy new control arms with the bushes installed.

Having replaced the control arms and now having time to try to remove the bushes, I would suggest that you are on a hiding to nothing. Don't know how they are attached but industrial glues are incredibly resistant to DIY removal techniques.

My suggestion would be to buy complete control arms and replace them yourself.

You need to take them to a machine shop to have the bushings replaced if you want to DIY the installation.

Thank you guys, after further research and consideration I decided to buy the whole control arms. On Rockauto, which is one of the few sites I trust to buy parts, especially because of their warranty, I would only save about 15 USD per control arm if I wanted to DIY the bushing replacement which considering the time and hassle, it's definitely not worth it. Plus I can sell the control arm to some diy-er and break even.

On another note, what's your experience with taking non-oem parts to the mazda dealership for installation?
