Keyless Entry Malfunction

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, but I think it's electronics...

My car was at the dealership to replace a fender. When I went to take it after, the proximity key entry didn't work, had to use the buttons on the key fob to unlock the car.
Red key notification light is on in the dashboard, Start Engine button works normally. On the infotainment screen in the warning guidance app, it says "Keyless Entry system malfunction"
I had them check it, they said it was a faulty brake switch, which they didn't have at the time and told me to wait till it ships from Japan.

I don't think it's the brake switch since the ignition works normally and the Start Engine button lights up green when brake is pressed and the engine starts normally.

Anyone have any idea what might be the culprit?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I went to another branch, told them the story, they laughed it off at the other center's engineers, and got it fixed in less than 30 minutes.
Turns out it was a knocked off connection during the installation the fender.

Thanks so much for sharing! Exact same thing happened to me, fender replacement and the "keyless entry malfunction" warning was on when I got the car back. The dealership wanted to charge $150 for a diagnostic, but knowing this, I'll just bring it back to the body shop and have them plug in the connection the must have missed.

Having this exact scenario with my 2015 Mazda3 following a driver's side front fender replacement.

Anyone have details on the connectors in question? Not finding much helpful details on it aside from mazda3tech and the diagram there is not super clear to me...

Thanks for the deets, loose connector in the driver side wing was the culprit. Once reconnected - all good!

Mazda Japan recently shutdown server mazda.co.jp/esicont, it was a great source of info, they want money now. Only place available for M3 info I found is this: mazdamanuals.com.au after scan your car check link for Start Stop Unit DTC.
I'm not finding any relation between front bumper and issue but maybe a harness cross there and got disconnected.
Advanced keyless entry uses 5 antennas and none located in the front bumper antenna removal/installation
Perhaps is nothing wrong and only needs a reset, disconnect battery for a few minutes.

Had a similar problem after replacing fender and bumper. Ending up being a bad ground on the fender bracket that was replaced. Check and clean all ground cables
