Yes, you can update to another Firmware for another region. Maybe you can upgrade to another higher Firmware-Version.
So, tell us your region, to select your "new" Firmware.

The firmware-download-links in the Thread above, do not work! All Files are deleted. Maybe some users here can help you with that (if we now you favorited region)

Ah thank you for that I saw this thread earlier but did not see a firmware for japan but now you said I can use a firmware from different region.

My region is South America. What firmware would you recommend?

ok, so you need the firmware-Version with region-code ADR.

maybe the download-link in this Thread will work:
Connect Firmware 70.00.100 Update

But first find out, if you can update from your FW55..... directly to FW70....... I cant tell you that detail.

Hi, I'm from Guyana as well and recently got my Mazda Axela 2014 Sport and don't have the option (shown in the video above) to change from Japanese to English. I figure I would have to do an update but just wanted confirmation on if I could update to a different region, thanks guys.

 

Yea bro this guy above said its possible to update from a different region but not sure if I can update from version 55.00.650 to 70 right away or need to go from 55.00.650 to 59 first.

 

I was thinking ADR since it has South America coverage
