I'd have the dealer take a look at it next time you're around there. Ask them if they'd mind showing you one of their new cars on the lot to see how it compares to yours.

 

My car has doe about 1700km so far and mileage is pretty terrible and I noticed that the gas nozzle is loose. I can grab it and move around fair bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have never seen this. Also the gas cap doesn't make the psssssing noise when I open it.

does yours do the same ? I just want to check before speaking to my dealer.

In the UK the operation of the filler cap is part of the MOT test. Nothing should be loose in that area (well any are come to that),are there not screws round the filler cap housing holding it to the body?

 

That’s not normal, it’s under warranty. Take to dealer, show them directly what you’re experiencing. My filler doesn’t move around.

 

I think it's rubber mounted at the body, and at the end of a rubber hose to the tank. If it was anything but air tight it will throw a code and turn on the check engine light since it's an integral part of the evaporative emissions control system. Just leave your gas cap off and drive around and you'll see.
