Hello,

has anybody already updated from 56.00.230 EU N straight to 74.00.324A EU N?

If I understood correctly, that should not be a problem, right?

Thanks

Official info for EU region: If your installed version is older than 56.00.100 then you should install 70.00.100 in between, before updating to FW 74.

Official info for NA region (North America): If your installed version is older than 55.00.650 then you should install 70.00.100 in between, before updating to FW 74.

So in both requested cases here officially an update straight to FW 74 should be working.

Hey Tristan,

thanks for your reply. I noticed that you've also been very active in the "Black Screen MZD" thread where people discuss how to rescue their bricked CMUs, for example by flashing the "rom-513B.bin" file directly to the SPI NOR chip. Is this "rom-513B.bin" a complete dump of the SPI NOR chip from a pre-installed 56.00.513B EU N firmware? And do you think that this procedure would also work for people who had a failed upgrade from 56 to 74?

I haven't performed the upgrade yet and I first want to ensure, that there is a solution in case of a failed upgrade procedure.

@Gabrixx : See post #4 - just above your`s.

It is no fun anymore to have to think about if someone really is that lazy to read even in the same thread, if he really seeks help or just posts to obey forum rules, so that he can write a private message to ASH8. This really annoys me and lowers my motivation to help at all. But as long as people want to write private messages and have to have some posts for it, they just post anything to be able to write private messages.
