I have a 2017 Mazda 3 BN which was sold in 2 versions in Europe - 120hp and 165hp.
I got 120 one and after ECU tune it has 179 hp and 223 Nm of torque.

I bet it's the same story with current generation
Mechanically both versions are the same, there is just software difference.

Sounds interesting. Where and how can it be tuned? I‘m from Europe too.

 

I know the new 4th Gen Mazda have a different tool for manage the ECU. For the 3th Gen was enoght enter with the program in local, for the 4th Gen is necessary a connection with the mazda's server in Japan. For this I'm not sure if the way for mod the ECU will be so easy.

 

We have a guy, which is considered “master”, who took map from G150 and put it in G122. G122 has just “cut” engine output, otherwise the engines are 1:1.

Many guys from CZ have this “unlock” done and are happy about it.

 

Can someone give screenshot of these two maps in 2D and hex to define them in winols

 

I can give you address but noting actually happens with this map throttle closes after 4000 rpm too

Does anyone know what the actual peak torque is for the factory G150 (no remap, 2020 model) in Europe?

I know that 213 NM is the listed peak torque at 4k RPM (same as the 122) but I've heard many claim that it is actually higher than this.

Mazda 3 2.0 Skyactiv-G M Hybrid 150 hp - Specs & performance (zeperfs.com)

They have torque/power curves but they may be calculated rather than measured. Anyway interesting to compare the curves with the 122.

 

Your question although rhetoric feels like it deserves an answer 😉.
The title of the thread is "Difference between 122hp and 150hp" and I was just highlighting the difference. I'm not saying this would have any influenve on the fuel map.

Some BP 122 and 150's share the same transmission, others don't. Without specifics on each car, I cannot comment any further.
Previous post edited - I should have said depending on the model year of the 3 BP the 122 and 150 have different transmissions. My bad.

In Europe the M/T 2017 Mazda 3 2.0 SkyActiv-G 120 has different gear ratios and a different final drive to the 2WD M/T 2022 Mazda 3 2.0 e-SkyActiv-G 122.

Should be on Stock 150 HP. Just the configuration of the ECU was changed to the 150 HP one. Great thing about it is that it shows as G150 at the dealer when OBD is connected, so on first glance all is OEM including updates.
