How much is the app?

 

Free version or 4$ for the PRO. I got the PRO, but don't really see what it adds over the free.

 

That looks pretty cool. I wonder if there are any iPhone apps that do the same thing. What kind of bluetooth ODB II reader do you have?

 

The cheapest one ever. Looks like this one:

You can do logs and graphs with it too. The HP and TQ meters are obviously not accurate, but as the other numbers are just being read from the OBD port, they are good to go.

 

I can't find any iPhone apps... bummer!

 

I was going to pickup one of those bluetooth obd2 readers and give this a try, glad to hear it actually works. I want it for engine temp and things that we dont have gauges for...

No worries, FYI though you can get some decent android phones for less than a scangauge though. :tongue:

 

I use to use the torque app as well before, but then I changed to iPhone and the app store didn't have it :/ Only reason I miss android :'/

 

Everything I have tried so far. MAF, LTFT, STFT, load, AFR,Timing, so it's definitely compatible.

 

Which OBD II did you buy? I am seeing 2 of them, both same prices, and both say compatible with ALL vehicles(cept subs, and a few others) The ELM327 on flea bay

 

Do please inform us of how you fixed the CEL, I am intersted...

 

The app along with the reader have the ability to read and clear CEL apparently...which is sweet.

Im not sure, pretty sure wingzero knows, but its all within the app, the app works basically as a OBD2 scanner tool.

 

Oh it doesn't permanently delete the code, you can only do that with reprogramming software like dynotronics uses. I meant remove as in shut the light off again, it will come back in a few miles just like and CEL scanner.

 

So you're saying you cleared it and the light came back on again liek any othe scanner from autozone, etc.? Can't wait to get my dynotronics tune this fall if that is the case......

 

I've been playing with it too, using a ELM327 v1.5 bluetooth OBD-II adapter and my android phone. Has anyone tried added extended PIDs via the app's custom PID support? Would be pretty sweet to get access to things like oil temp/pressure, knock sensors, etc.

 

Yes it just acts like any other scanner when it comes to clearing CELs.

 

So does this run off the built in bluetooth in say my 3s? =D

 

No you need an obd2 bluetooth adapter that communicates with the tablet or phone.

Thanks for the link! I might get one... I didn't realize they were so cheap. Does anyone know if there are any good Windows or Mac OS X apps that work with these? I don't have an Android phone and there are no iPhone apps that do this.

It actually comes with several programs on the cd disc, that accompanies the adapters. But there are also others available on the Interweb. 25$ is a good price, but I got mine for 19 from Amazon.

Hey guys,

I got mine yesterday and was able to pair it to my Touchpad with CM 7.3. Android says it is not connected though. Do I have to do anything special to get Torque to see it and connect?

That is how I am using my as well (Touchpad with Cyan). It will always say paired but not connected for some reason. But once you open up the torque app, it will know that the blue tooth adapter is there.
