Hi,

I am currently on 56.00.230 with AIO Tweaks installed and want to upgrade to 70.00.100A (or v70.00.335 ) so I can fit/install the genuine Mazda hub for Apple car play.
Can someone please tell me how I go about upgrading it without losing AIO Tweaks(root access)- Since I don't want to mess about with the serial connection method etc?

1, Will I need to install something beforehand from MZD-AIO-TI (windows) and how do I make sure it will preserve root/aio after I upgrade firmware?
2. has anyone been successful preserving root access all the way from 56.xx.xxx to 74.xx.xxx

Much thanks

1. Yes. 1st install the Autorun/ID7 tweak from AIO (top right), then update to 70.00.100. Then you still can install AIO Tweaks via USB like before. Do not update to 70.00.335, as then it is much more complicated to regain the possibility to install AIO tweaks. Most of the tweaks will disappear after a firmware update - so you will have to install them again.
2. Nothing is published yet redarding FW 74.

I would reinstall the tweak again and check if it states something like "already installed, overwrite" - but I am not sure, if this is implemented in the tweak. I do not know any easy method of checking. You could access the CMU via SSH and check if the files of the Autorun/ID7 tweak are copied, but this is not so easy.

Thank you, I now am on the updated 70.00.100 with AIO tweaks.
I am now going to fix/fit the car play hub.
However - in future if this version 70.00.100 gives me trouble (bugs) will I be able to upgrade to 74.xx.xx+ being on the new hub or will I have to change back to old hub?

Also, are there known issues with 70.00.100 & AIO?

Yes, you can update to 74.00.324 or any version in between - but then you will loose the installed AIO tweaks as well as the ability to install them again. The new AA/CP usb hub works only with FW higher than 70.00.021 - so also with FW 74. You should not downgrade lower than FW 70 - otherwise you have to install the old hub/cable again and will loose AA/CP.

See the changelog of the newer versions to get an overview, which bugs are in 70.00.100 and are solved so far (until 74.00.324) - the in between solved ones are still there in .100.

Yes, perfect haven't installed AIO AA. HOWEVER - Talking of the devil and first one (bug) is here.

I installed a bunch of tweaks that I had earlier - touchscreen, video player, fuel economy etc and now my phone regardless of being connected for calls (and it works and I can hear voice) but when I stream audio (music) from any app on my phone it just shows its playing but literally no sound output 😪
