I have a 2012 m3 with the Bose system. I want to upgrade the head unit to get better sound quality, USB charging and better Bluetooth features (number called display, better microphone). I like the look of the factory unit and was wondering what aftermarket unit would closely resemble it. I like the curved shape in particular. I've looked at many units both double din and single din. None of the install kits look very good to me (metra). They all look flat or set back into the dash. I am not interested in a touch screen, DVD player or GPS unit. I like the traditional knobs and buttons of the factory unit as well. Any recommendations on install kits and Head units. Any aftermarket units that will fit without an install kit? Maybe another Mazda head unit from another year would work?
