@Armystrong, I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with that! The black looks good with the white exterior; I'm still concerned about doing it with my black exterior but if tint doesn't work, I may go that route. What percentage tint were you going to use? Did you try to put a small piece over the chrome to get an idea of what it might look like?

Thank you for the service manual pictures on this...it's still a PITA! Either way the job will get done with the trim on the vehicle...whether I use tint or gloss black paint...more to come.

I used spray dip. Its easy. Just tape it off and spray it. I did my car in an afternoon. It blends right in with the upper door trim. The advantage of the dip is you can touch it up easily without a trace if it gets scratched, and it will get scratched......

Shadow Chrome? The more coats, the darker the shadow. It creates more of a hyperblack finish. The best part? Sticks well w/o any sanding.... hence, it can be reversible.
