I have a 2017 GT and I've procured a set of Gen 1 17" wheels (free) for my winter set. I'm interested if anyone has run a 215/55-17 for their winters. The selection for 205/55 is very limited (perhaps due to time of year?) and 215/55 has a better selection. I would rather not run the 215/50 as it's a tad smaller in radius.

So has anyone run the 215/55? Pictures and any issues?

Trade them in for 16" if you want better snow traction and put 205/55R16 Vredestein Snowtrac 5's on. Best snow tire IMO.

Stock GS/GX is a 205/60-16... more side wall and also cheaper than the 55

I just installed a set of 215/55R17" tires on my 17 2.5 touring. I used 7x17" wheels with a +35 offset. I think this size fits the car very well. I have no issues, although I wish I had a little more offset to keep the tires inside the fender a little better.

Perfect. Thank you so much for the reply and pictures. Perhaps the selection will get better closer to winter but that seems like the best size at this point.
