Hello All
Dada here from Israel. Newly owner of a MAZDA3 1500cc 2015 35.000Km.
I would like to know if after closing doors and locking down while driver side window is open, does it close by itself after some seconds or not?
Thank you kindly.

Don't know about our 3, but on our VW Jetta, you could place the key in the driver's door and hold it turned one way (forgotten which, probably clockwise) for a second or so, it would close all windows left open. Haven't looked into whether this is on the 3's programming or not.

Guys, I meant to lock down using the remote and not the key, not that it changes anything, windows stay down no matter what.. I discussed this with a mechanic, friend of a friend and seems even the 2017 model marketed in Israel is being delivered without that feature. Just today I left my window open after I parked and forgot to close. Came back an hour later and thank God nothing was touched. So this is a big issue for me. The second biggest problem for me is that there is no navigation card, just a nice useless "NAV" button. I am going to look for a third party module to be incorporated into the available system doing all that; navigate everywhere with WAZE, also lift the windows and fold the mirrors and lock the doors with a click of a button on the remote.

Surely buying the nav SD card is easier than butchering some aftermarket module.

If you find a way to wind up the windows, fold the mirrors and lock the doors that can be done via the OEM remote please do tell us as many would be interested.

Hello Guys
Yes, buying and using the original NAV card does the job but it carries a fixed map and not a live one.
I did find a local firm named Cobra Israel which specializes in installing different modules for different purposes. So I arrange for them to install an Android module and another one to wind up the windows. I did ask them to add a way to fold the mirrors also, but it was not doable. My only condition was that the work done should not interfere with all the existing functions of info-screen or whatever you call it. So after some 4 hours work and a couple of hundred $$ light though, I am now a very happy customer. I should mention that I have to turn on the Mobile Hotspot on my phone to be able to use the new module. I preferred not to have internet option installed necessitating addition monthly payments, hence using my phone's connections. In the end, I have WAZE as my live NAV application, I can listen to music from local stations, I can call and receive calls. I can lock all my doors with a click of a button and after a few second all the open windows wind up one by one. I think I achieved all my goals for now.
