I'm going to be changing my gear oil and am curious why it seems if someone is using Redline why they are using MT90 (75W-90) over Redline's recommendation to use MTL (70W-80) which would have a closer viscosity to Mazda's spec of 75W-80.

If you do a quick search, that particular fluid MT90 is more geared to the 2009 and below MS3 transmissions as that requires GL-4 75W90 MTL. Mazdaspeed 3 2010 and up need GL4 75W80.
