So, did you guys have look on to a New Audi A3? Their camera keep working while the car is going forward. And I believe a lot of german car can do that. Just want someone step in and help. Can we program it to make that happen? Advice please. )):laugh2:

There are only two ways to do this on a system that wasn't designed for it.

1. Hack the firmware / hardware that makes the decision
2. Find out which signal gets sent to the head unit to turn on the camera, and spoof that. This may have side effects (if some other part of your s ystem uses that signal and suddenly thinks you're in reverse).

I have had it happen where the reverse camera stays on in drive, then again so did reverse lights. Pulled over and restarted the car and hasn't happened since.
