Vehicle has 116k miles and I found out yesterday that the driver side lower ball joint has quite a bit of play and I want to replace it immediately. I ordered one that will arrive tomorrow and I need to know which exact puller/adapter I can borrow from a local auto parts store for the install.

Or if its even possible to remove and install one without a puller?

I already ordered some mevotech supreme lower control arms from rockauto but they won't arrive for another 11 days.

I replaced it today with a moog ball joint while I wait for control arms and I'm glad I did, that ball joint had 1/8" of play in it.

I couldn't find information anywhere on line on which puller/adapter would be needed so for future reference I used the OEMtools 57023 ball joint press set and the OEMtools 57310 master ball joint installer/remover adapter set.

All I needed to remove was the caliper bracket and rotor and then used a pickle fork to remove the ball joint stud from the knuckle.
