Hey all,

I have a Mazda 3 2010, but I am not sure what the engine capacity of it. Depending on the engine capacity, the type of oil I should use differs according to the user manual. Can someone help me to locate it?

Someone may correct me but as I recall if the car has one exhaust pipe it is a 2.0L engine and if it has two exhaust pipes it's a 2.5L engine. Some of the 2.5 cars actually say 2.5 on the rear of the car - like this one.

If it is oil the type of oil required should be indicated on the top of the oil cap. (my 2012 read 0W-20 on it)

the key differences between the 2.0 and 2.5 are accurate from canook's response.

However you can check your engine code if it has LF in it than it is a 2.0 (the location of the code is shown in part 10 of the owners manual) and the 2.5 should read L5-VE.
