I've been in and under my dash trying to find a constant source of power for an LED lighting system from diode dynamics.

I just can't seem to find a wiring guide that tells me which wires are +/- for the cig lighter so I can tap into them.

Does anyone have any pictures to save me some hours of time? I've not had any luck searching.

If the wires aren't color coded, just use a voltmeter to see which is hot and which is ground.

My approach was to buy a five-pack of add-a-circuit connectors on ebay for less than $10. I couldn't find them at the local auto stores that fit the low-profile minifuses used in the Mazdas. This little device plugs into the fuse box to create a new fused circuit. It prevents having to cut-and-splice into the car's existing electric system and allows one to use a fuse of the proper size to protect the wiring of the new load.
