First time at the strip :001_unsure:, my best pass was a 16.8 @ 81 mph lol. Keep in mind though it was the day before halloween and it was too cold for my summer tires (3-4C or 38F).

This summer i hope to get into the low 16's with better weather, lighter rims and more experience.

Does it have to be a Mz3? Here's my fastest time in my old '05 legacy GT:

Mine's on the right, 99 viper on the left. I beat him out of the hole and he didnt catch up til right at the end. Not bad for a 4 banger! :p

Which engine, transmission, wheels/tires, etc were you running? Try to get a lot more track time with exactly what you have now so you can get the most important modification taken care of (the driver).

Actually lower temps give you an advantage at the drag strip. I remember each time as the ambient temp would go from the upper to mid 70's F to low 50's or even the 40's over the course of a few hours my trap speed would increase (and ET's would decrease), telling me my motor was making more power with lower temps. Street summer tires don't really seem to have a lot of straightline traction on the strip even on a warm day (I can chirp into 3rd gear at both tracks, but almost never on the street).

2.0L MZR, 5speed Auto, RX8 with 225/40/18 Generals (Exclaim UHP).

This year i am just auto crossing primarily, but i have been practising my launches. I'll probably head to the strip at least once if can for fun (doesn't help that its very far) since i would like to still try and nail a low 16 pass LOL...

Did just 1 race. Won against my buddies 05 BMW 523i. Got 16.3 in the 1/4 mile. I can't find my receipt though or I would put it up. :(

Engine and transmission? I see 16" factory alloys, intake, exhaust, and timing mod in your signature. Guessing a 2.0 liter with a 5-speed manual tranny? Do you remember your trap speed?

On an unprepped surface. An abandoned street. 70 degrees according to the car. Mods in siggy

0-60 7.82
60' 2.79
1/8 10.54 @72.1
1/4 15.95 @ 92.0

With better tires and a rmm you could probably get a 60' of 2.5 on the street. I dont know if you could hook better on a track or wheel hop would be worse.
