So I have discovered even with spacers fitting my new door speakers still requires cutting bit of the door frame. Jig saw won't fit, tin snips is just making really sharp edges everywhere. So for those who has gone this far before, any tips on how I can cut this metal part of the door panel?
Yeah the basket is huge. I tried making a 1-3/4" spacer from wood which cleared the door frame, but the door panel wouldn't close. This entire audio project requires so much work, kinda kicking myself getting myself into this.
When I did my genwon which the inner door is basically the same I had to cut a lot. 8'' dayton audio midbasses in the doors FTMFW. its just plastic if you have a small belt sander that will get the job done otherwise id use a dremel.
