Anyone able to get a good deal on a 2014? or are the dealers getting msrp?

Anyone ordered the consumers report costs on the car? or gotten a Costco negotiated price or anything similar?

A salesman offered me $25,600 on an s touring hatchback in soul red

Costco says they have pricing and so does AAA, but when I went in to the dealership they said its just msrp. But with costco you get like $50 for accessories and 15% off accessories if im not mistaken(for any car..)

carsdirect.com and truecar.com both show a price at or within a few dollars of MSRP. I don't imagine this will change until they have an abundant supply of them a few months from now. It wasn't too bad though with S-Plan and they are currently running an owner loyalty rebate of $500. With those two the price of the i-Touring hatch with auto, tech package, and white paint charge that I ordered was about $1700 below MSRP.

In my mid-west area the I touring 5-door with auto and tech package is estimating a price of $22,856 (about $650 under MSRP). The manual comes in at $21,853.

The s-GT 5-door comes in at $26,671. Again, about $600 off MSRP.

They do list a "CR Bottom-Line price" for $26,074.. not sure how close you can get to that but might be a number to shoot for. For the I touring it is $20,979 but that does NOT include the tech package (I don't think it is quite fully functional on the website for 2014 models yet) so add around $1400 to get the bottom line with nav.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on waiting until the end of the year. Figure I should be able to get a better deal by then , plus any early production issues will hopefully be worked out by then. So no point in doing too much research now.

On the other hand I think this is excellent information for someone who doesn't want to wait, although if the dealers can sell all the cars they are getting in at close to msrp it isn't very useful to know the "CR Bottom-Line price".

I sort of figured that dealers would be getting close to MSRP at this point. I'm anxious enough to get a 2014 iTouring that I'll be ready to pull the trigger after I get to test drive a manual transmission. Does anyone know what kind of financing deals will be available through Mazda? Forgive my ignorance, I haven't bought a new car in 12 years.

I don't think there are any special financing deals available. There is a $500 dollar owner loyalty rebate available if you already own a mazda. I would suggest shopping around for the best rate on an auto loan before you go to the dealer. If the dealer interest rate is not competitive then you will be better off getting the financing elsewhere.

For financing, check your local credit Union.

The credit union I have been using for my last 3 cars currently offers 1.99% APR for up to 72 months, no bs, fees, or strings attached.

Another local credit union is running 1.49/24, 1.75/36, and 1.99/60 if you do checking and direct deposit with them.

I guess this just goes to show that they anticipate being able to sell all the cars that are coming in at msrp. It's reasonable that a dealership is going to sell the cars for as much as they can get. Hopefully it won't be too long before the dealerships are no longer supply constrained at which point they will be motivated to meet sales quotas and volume incentives resulting in an environment where you can negotiate on the price.

Sucks a bit to wait , but my current 12 year old Acura RSX is working fine so I can wait it out. Also seriously considering the S with MT which I have to wait for anyway.

I just put a deposit on a 3i Touring sedan. Put a couple dealerships against each other and ended up getting it at $40 over invoice (or about $1100 off MSRP). I couldn't say no :thumbup 1:

For my sGT, I paid $26,354 (s-plan, i.e. invoice) with bumper guards, sill plates, and wheel locks factory installed. -$500 for Mazda Loyalty -$17,500 on the trade in (which saved about $1700 in taxes) ~$10k @ 60 months/2.49%.

So far one dealer has quoted me $26,290 for an sGT with no tech package. They also offered me $8,000 for my 2010 MZ3 HB auto with moon and Bose, 94,200 miles. Seems like a low ball offer on the trade.
