Hello folks! I turn to the forum to see if you can enlighten me on the way with this problem that is presenting my Mazda 3 sedan 2015.

With these rains I noticed that after a while in the water, the left rear seat (behind the pilot) was extremely wet, the curious thing is that apparently did not seem to come from the awning of the car.

One of those rainy days I removed the seat and I was surprised by the amount of water that was leaking and was going to hit right where the cover is located to access the fuel pump.

I still can't find the source of the leak. The carpet is always dry, the door rubbers are in good condition with no cracks or anything like that.

I leave you some pictures and videos I have taken of this.

It looks like the water is coming from up higher up on the car given the little stream coming out from under the interior trim panel. Is your car a sedan (4 doors) or hatchback (5 doors)? You might want to check your spare tire well and see if it's wet as well. Also, does your car have a sunroof? If so, you might have a clogged or leaking sunroof drain line. The other possibility is a leaking window seal.

Unfortunately, you'll need to remove that panel to find the source of the water. While it doesn't require special skills, it's a pain to get it off (especially in the hatchback) as there is a lot of other trim pieces that overlap it, and you're sure to break some of the clips that hold it in these parts. If you do break some, you'll want to replace them or the panels might rattle.

You'll have to check the roof tunnels and the sunroof drainage. I've got a 2005 Mazda 2 and I had a leak I could not find happening in the spare tyre well. Turned out it was the sealer in the roof tunnels had cracked open. I had to take the roof rails off and fix up the gaps. So it could be something similar in your case. Or more likely the rear hatch seal
