Today, I picked up a sponsorship and get to help introduce the brand new VMR V702 to the Mazda market. The wheels will be delivered in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to getting these on the car and posting some proper pictures.

The wheels come in Matte Gunmetal with Aluminum Brushed Face, Matte Hyper Silver, Matte Gunmetal, & Any Powder Coat Finish.
Sizes include:
18x8.5 ET35, ET45
18x9.5 ET22, ET33, ET45, ET57
19x8.5 ET35, ET45
19x9.5 ET22, ET33, ET45

I decided to go with the matte gunmetal with brushed aluminum face, 18x8.5 +45. It just popped when I saw it in person. Pictures don't really show the detail of the pattern in the brushed face.

The matte gunmetal has a slight shine to it, not completely flat like you'd expect. I took a few pics of the matte gunmetal and the brushed aluminum against my car, but I was in the shade so they're not very representative of the wheels.

They're heavy at about 22lbs, so I'm not excited for the added weight. I was talking with @color0, and I agree with him and put the V702 in the "style" category as opposed to "performance". I just wanted to take the opportunity to have something unique on the car.

Velocity Motoring is looking to sponsor more Mazdas to help showcase their new product. They'll be looking until November 21. If you're in SoCal (VMR is in Anaheim) and interested, PM me and I'll put you in contact with them and they'll give you all the details. From their post on MOCC, "Please keep in mind, sponsorship does not include a FREE set of wheels. You will be heavily discounted and if given the chance.. participate in an awesome photo shoot from one of our top-notch photographers."

I'll update this thread as soon as I get the wheels put on.

Right thumb!

Edit:
To answer the big question, "how much will they cost?"

From VMR:
"We expect retail to be somewhere around 1100-1500, depending on the finish, width, and diameter. We're not entirely set on this however. If they're really interested, they are always welcome to submit for sponsorship."

EDIT 12/9/2013:

Here they are on the car:

Very cool! Any idea on cost?
I'm waiting for a reply on the final production version cost. I'll update as soon as I get the official price.

As it is, a good 225/40 or 235/40/18 tire should be in the 24-25lbs range so that's a 47lb wheel + tire package. 47lb isn't terrible per se but your original combo is in the 41lbs range (16lb RE30, 25lb RE-11)... you're gonna feel that big time.

Are you sticking with your current 225 RE-11's? They're going to start looking (barely) stretched on an 8.5" wheel, similar to 255 on a 9.5. As far as Bridgestones go, @DomTheGhost has 245/35/18 RE760's fitting very well on his 8.5's.
