Do most people prefer the Visual Garage or OEM Shark Fin antenna? My '14 iSport has the horse whip style antenna and I'd like a shark fin.

  • It looks like the OEM shark fin requires complete removal of the current antenna, and to drop the headliner from inside the car and bolt in the OEM sharkfin unit.
  • The VG Shark fin appears to just plug in, and slip over the existing nub of the original antenna that remains after unscrewing the longer horse whip portion.
Can anyone verify this, and also I'd like opinions on which model looks better. Thanks!

I went OE. Simple job. Drop the rear headliner enough for hand to loosen the base nut & unplug the cable.:)
Some sellers of the OEM unit are including the bolt nut for an additional cost, is that necessary? There should already be a compatible one in place from the original horse whip antenna, no?
