Hi all good te be here. My first post as well :smile2:

I am looking a upgrading the stock stereo in my car. I have the non Bose version. I am looking at Hertz hsk 165 component speakers for the front and Hertz HCX 165 coaxial for the rear with a underseat sub.
Firstly I measured the clearance for the mounting depth and they will fit but then it dawned on me what about when the window is down. How much space does the window take up in the front and rear doors ? Second issue that is bothering me is how I am going to route the speaker wires through the grommets in the door they seem to have some kind of solid plastic inner where it meets the body panel. I don't just want to go out and buy the speakers and find I will need to do heavy mods to make them fit neither do I want to splice any wires. I will be using a harness at the back of the infotainment system to get the RCA's. At the moment my biggest concern is the speaker wires. Thank you in advance for any replies and help.

Kind regards 0:)

First, if you`re only changing speakers, you can use the factory wiring, just check polarity. For the mounting depth, you can take off a speaker and measure it, but i guess any speaker can fit in, there is a lot of space.
