I was planning on changing my own break pads as they are apparently worn. I looked around the forum and found out that the rear pads are the QC1679, so my question is which pads are for the front tires? and which break pads do you guys recommend in general (front and rear).

Cheers.

You could go onto RockAuto and search on there for pads and rotors there's a few brands that they carry for our car. The prices on there are less expensive than some in store retail or even try Amazon. I changed out my rears about a month ago with I think Z23 from Power Stop and they've been pretty great thus far. Rotors I got E-Coated ones from Wagner to help prevent a little rust.

Here's a thread talking about pads and changing them out:

RockAuto link for convenance, make sure to pick the right engine displacement (2.0 or 2.5)
