So I just got the TSW Nurburgrings and noticed that the road noise is now louder in the car. Anyone else have this experience?

Kept original Dunlop's

They look great, but I am concerned about the noise. Pics to come in a few days after I wash her.

Is it feasible that these are more rigid - less elastic - than the originals and thus transferring more road noise?

Personally I don't think so, I always thought of wheels as being pretty solid, but just putting it out there for people to ponder on.

Seems possible, the design o the wheel, the metals used in the wheel, all will contribute to how sound travels and is amplified through the wheel. BTW nice choice, I was thinking about getting those as they were pretty light (I run 20's) but I ended up going with mallorys (20x8.5+40)which after tire were equal weight to my stock 19" wheel (19x7.5)

So put about 100 miles on them today and the noise is either gone, or I have gotten used to it. Car does feel lighter on its feet now after taking 8lbs off each corner.
