Does anyone have a write up or know how to remove the trim that is on the trunk door. This is for a 2011 mazda 3 hatchback. Not the trim inside the car but the one on the trunk door.
like in that link autozone and oriellys etc carry them over where the trim clips are. you gotta pop off the upper part of the trim that goes around the window and 3rd brake light first (those panels you can easily pop off by hand without tools, then use that tool to gently pry the main trim panel off. (its just held on by plastic clips that have channels that grab the metal in certain spots, that's what the tool is for to get around those clips and pop them out without breaking or damaging them) haven't taken the panel off in my 11 but in my old 08 hatch it was 6 clips 3 on bottom 3 on top near window you basically slide that tool in and pry, if it still feels stuck go to another spot and try. easiest to start in a corner and work around the edge you will be able to see/feel the clips and then get the tool around them as you get it off.
