So I have a 2017 MZ3, about as base model as it gets but I have the touchscreen radio. Yeah, it's cool and all, and I do have it AIO tweaked out. But I'm still itching to have Apple CarPlay. My buddy with a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta with CarPlay showed me some of the stuff in it and I'm really impressed. So in a quest to completely change over some stuff in my car I'm looking at aftermarket head units. I've seen guys with the basic radio swapping it out for the aftermarket touch screens, but I have yet to see someone with a touchscreen radio swap it out for a unit with Apple CarPlay.
Sure it seems hasty to do for like $400 but it sure is cheaper than trading in the 3 for something with more creature comforts.
Anyone had any experience swapping the touch for a touch with CarPlay?
