I've got a concern.

The front door panels elevate above the window seal on the leading edge of the doors, creating a bit of a recess. I imagine the door panels will have to come off or at least be popped from up top to do a clean tint install.

I'm worried that the tint shop will break clips of wreak havoc on those frail white clips. Have any of you had any horror stories around this topic?

TIA

I have two layers of tint on my car and neither one had to remove the door panels. They have those wedge squeegee blades that pushes the tint into the gaps.

Likewise they did not remove the door panel.

My installer also did not remove the door panel. However, watch out for the small quarter window areas on the rear doors. It is really tight from the inside and I had to ask my installer to re-do them both because it looked sloppy from the outside. It's still not all the way to the edge.
