Will this newest firmware work in a '16 6 (I'm currently on version 0.51)? If so, is the procedure to apply it the same as in the mazda3hacks document? Thanks so much for the help!

Yes, from V55 onwards it is for ALL Mazda Connect in all Mazda's, 2, 3, 6, CX-3, CX-5, ND MX-5.

Looks like (so far) they've fixed my iPod issue. UI bootup seems a bit quicker too.

No apparent changes have been made, we will have to take a look under the hood to see what is different.

Can you possibly re upload? fail safe installed well, but re installation giving validation error. Tried downloading trice!

There is nothing to install. Insert a geniune, unused Mazda Nav SD Card with Part # BHP1 66 EZ1C (for North America) into the SD card slot and it will work. I did not purchase this SD card from the dealer - bought it off ebay. Find out the part # for Nav SD card for Europe or your country. It should be on the Mazda website under Accessories.

EDIT: Info posted on another site (not sure I can link them here) by Adamoz has the part numbers listed as follows. But yeah, be careful that you dont buy a used SD card. It will not work on your card. period. :

So now seeing a strange issue. I have navigation in the car but it's no longer appearing in the hud after doing the update and applying tweaks. Navigation adjustment in the ad-disp options does nothing either. Anyone else ever see this and know how to fix? Potentially reflash? (I didn't do a factory reset prior to flashing - don't know if that's part of the issue)

Is it normal for Ipod playback to always reset when turning the car off? I will be in the middle of a playlist and turn the car off and then come back to it and it starts playing the first song in the list of "Songs".

Yes, repeat same process, but install reinstall file before failsafe.
I could honestly live without the AD Display navigation, as I hardly use navigation in the first place.
I can't live with .650 messing up my iPod though.

I just did some hacks to v55.00.650 so.. Since there's an issue with the ADD im going to wait till it is worked out before I update. Promising that it's so quick of Mazda and that there are good changes made.

Hello to all. I just got my new CX-3 and it came with de v51.00.351. I was wondering if i should upgrade to the v55. I don't have de GPS Navigation so the problem with that unit is not quite a problem for me. I didn't do any tweak yet. Does the v55 is stable enough to go with no problem? Thanks a lot and i continue to follow this thread. Nice job to all!

The only issue i have found is the head up display does not have the navigation show up. I can still adjust its location and I have no other issues.
