I'm doing a little remodeling work to the rear of my car and I thought I'd share this.

There's a GT badge at the bottom balanced on top of a pencil. Hopefully by tomorrow it will have a gentle curve.

I'm really impressed with how well made it is.

Unfortunately, it didn't work.

I'll try heating it and give it another go later.

Thanks for the tip.

I have the same GT badge on my car now. It looks good but it could be better if it was more flush with the rear hatches gentle curve.

The 3M emblem tape will work better too. There's a bit of a gap on the outer sides now.

I will definitely take pics when the new badge is on the car.

Here is a pic of my second attempt to curve the GT badge.

I moved the books further out and put more weight on the outer edges to make the pencil apply more pressure to the middle.

If this doesn't destroy the chrome finish, I'll add some heat and give it another go.

I have that same badge! ( I think, def looks like the same typeface...)

I didn't attempt to curve it, mounted it on the hatch just below the Skyactive badge (which I left in place). It's an awkward surface so the ends aren't at all flush, so your idea is most appropriate. Doesn't budge though so at least the adhesive is legit!

The second attempt worked perfectly.

It gave it a gentle curve and it sits flush on the rear now.

Here is a pic with my Gen 3 Axela emblem and new GT badge. I had a Gen 2 Axela emblem on previously.

The double sided 3M foam tape it comes with isn't very good. You can pry the badge off with just a fingernail, if someone wanted to.

I used this 3M double sided molding tape, which is designed for emblems and other exterior items.

Instead of tossing these into a drawer - Fridge Magnets
Just in case I need them in the future

That was a good idea.

I still have an extra GT badge I could slap a magnet onto.. GT fridge!

GT didn't need to be molded, but Evil M did (thread I posted 4 years ago on that). Looks great MrBen!
