You can buy the oem replacement fabric or leather seat covering from the dealer or Onlinmazdaparts.com. I'd have a professional install it though. There are hog rings that attach the fabric to the foam base (so that the fabric doesn't pucker) that are a pita to install.
Why don't you take it to an upholsterer and see if it can be repaired? If they can't, then they will try and match up the material and replace the section. If the material is unique and can't be matched, then you're replacing the skin. It's not a big deal, they see that stuff all the time. Good luck!
