Basically the same as the JBR shift plate except it doesn't come with the counterweight.

Easy to install, the most time consuming part is removing the stock airbox to get to it. Here's some pics from my install

It made a huge difference as far as shortening the throw. Some others noted that it is harder to get into gear but I have not had that issue. The only negative comment comes from the wife who stated that the shifter looks like it is in neutral when in even gears, as the shifter now almost sits straight up and down when in 2,4,6 gear. Doesn't bother me.

I ordered this. Since JBR didn't work out well for me (2nd gear downshift grind/noise otherwise great) I will try SURE out. First with stock weight.. If I feels its a bit too heavy i will buy the counterweight they have. Looks like a good product.

thanks...I'll keep an eye out on your review... it's aluminum so I was concerned about quality (I think the JBR plates are steel) so be cool to get your thoughts. I also liked how this was ok to use with stock wieght and the price is the best I've seen..

Update: SSP installed. Only other thing done for the shifter is JBR solid bushings. I have not driven it much yet. It feels a bit heavy/firmer of course but i need to take it out for more of drive to say its too much. I tried without stock weight and i didn't like it. I am not getting banging like spec2k5 says with the stock weight. I like it so far. I do think it will benefit from a slightly lighter counter weight from my brief testing.

Comes in a fancy box<< 1 reason for being a lil more expensive i guess

Shifter in first gear..no rubbing. never thought it was big issue anyways

I think the "heavy/firmer' is because your moving the cable closer to the pivot point so you have less leverage. I guess that's the trade off. Shorter throws but heavier throws. I like to see what the different counterweight does. A shorter/heavier shift knob than the stock one should reduce your throw and maybe add some monentum to reduce the heavy feel. IDK.

Went for a drive. It will definitely improve with a lighter counter weight. Oem is too heavy for it. It feels like the counter weight swings it faster at the end of the shift (you can feel it) .I think it makes some noise cause of it (only 2-3 and 3-4 shifts) < but it also depends on how fast you shift. JBR made some extra noise so i don't know maybe im just paranoid..but the 2nd downshift gear noise it not there. There is a slight feeling like your going too fast for the gear but no noise<and It doesn't do that as early on... some adjusting might help that out...Also the FOMoCo fluid i need to change out to should help.

Wish I would have seen this one. Just installed my jbr today wil have to see if I can do some fine tuning 5&6 allilte hard to get in. Much stiffer than I thought it would be. Don't know if he changed design nipple conection a lot high than stock maybe to prevent rubbing. Not crazy with being at that angle would rather deal with some rubbing. Will see if I can make it work already wasted money on end links that I had to change.

nope. When I removed JBR I put the lever adjustment thing back to oem position cause it didn't feel all that nice... I'll let you know how it goes after the weight and then another time after the fluid change. But to tell you the truth JBR works for 99% of the ms3. I just think I have a tempermental speed. I have read JBR saying the tolerance for the shifter varies a lil by each car. So maybe the 40% reduced trow was just a tad agressive and caused noise downshifting into 2nd...

Did some adjusting today and seems to be fine. Alittle looser and goes into all gears just going to take some getting use to. I would have prefered around 30 percent myself but everybodys different.

Feeling more comfortable with the SSP just in the second day. Of course it changes the throw length and feel but the bigger effect is that it changes your shifting habits.. It kinda throws you off a bit at first but you slowly adjust to it and it feels better then eventually normal. I'm not 100% there yet but you get what I mean.. I still think it would benefit with a lighter counterweight.

Nice.. put in the ford syn. trans fluid.. If you have this fluid already in your car and waiting on getting an SSP.. the shortcut by it self just might be enough of your liking.. The fluid made a good amount of difference. ford syn fluid+solid bushing+SURE shortcut=Nice
