Oh... And after you Saved the OLD IC CONFIG make sure you hit the "Stop Button" here before you hit the disconnect button on the first icon with the Car and the i on it.
Unsure how

I loaded back all, I think.

Then re-did the write step.

1st block still get same error

2nd block got nothing to do

4th successful

So far have ICA and RCM codes on only. After turning car on, only maintenance and I-stop light and air bag is on.

Block one, got error, block two succeed, block 4 nothing to wrote
Proceeded to reset DTC as I don’t know what to follow, and codes are there.

Block one error persist:writing blocks failed-incompatible configuration.
What car are you putting this cluster into? I remember my IC AS Built Block 1 has one more line than the pre-face lift config.

Oh, and in my first attempt to get rid of the lights I also did a FSC Module Reset and did a Reset of the SCBS in the Mazda Connect menu. You can try doing that before doing the relearn
EDIT: tried swapping the FSC config (probably a dumb idea) and it spazzed out SCBS which just locked up the car. But when I reloaded the original config & relearn/reset U2100 finally cleared and I was able to run dynamic aiming and drove around for 10 minutes until the light cleared. All good now. Thanks for the help!

I have some questions.
The RCM has AS built format. Never saved that. Was I supposed to?
Am I supposed to also run FSC in a Mazda 2?
Wonder if by disconnecting the battery the air bag aka RCM and maintenance code will go away.
Read a suggestion is the comments about updating or resetting the firmware, which is not an option because I Upgraded to Apple alCar Play and have .70 firmware. My miles do move unlike that dude with the maintenance code on.
Everything else works, even the light that shows current gear.

Edit: forgot to say I scanned the ecu and shows no codes, so is only the lights in.
But it does show on the infointment.
Used an AEM multi gauge and the GT speedometer reads +2 as well.

Temperature gauge and AVG gauge not show correct

Hi Marcu5,

I ordered new digital speedometer with HUD from Japan for my Mazda2.

When i installed it to my car and restore all config from forscan. I got a proplem with temperature display and avg display as photot attached.

could you give me your IC information and help me for fix?

Thanks
This reply is probably 4 years too late but that's because the Japanese cluster can't view US/CA/Western information. You have to change the ASBuilt values of the region code back to Japan so it becomes un-jumbled. Your cluster will never say "Avg Gas Usage" in English, it'll be Japanese forever since it's built in that way.

Do you have an example with a picture? This should work for my issues, too. I also got a Toyota pcm update recall.

Just did this swap. Got a GT speedo without Active driver assist to fit my 2015 iGT. Had some error writing some block back using forscan but everything working fine. Cutting the meter hood came out ugly but I solved it with some edge trim from Amazon for 10$. As for the mileage, the newer speedo had 4K more miles than my car so I just took that hit. Make no sense to spend money to reduce the miles by 4K as it’s my lost.

I'd like to give this a shot. Has anyone ever used an Australian dash in a NA car, or know if its possible? I'd be looking for dash D23C 55430 right?
For me I just took a shot in the dark. Just an FYI, if you’re buying from eBay and they say “with Head Up unit” it’s most likely mean that the speedo came from a car that has a head up unit. I would confirm with seller what comes with in and pictures. Last one I bought showed only a picture of a car.

I ended up going with a unit pulled from a canadian car, still a D23C 55430 model. It dropped in and after a quick load of the asbuilt values it seems to be working now. It was a little tricky to get the ASBUILT values in though. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I had to load the values again afer writing each block of code? In either case its in and working, I just need to update the odometer values, which means either finding someone to update it, or a device/software that can. I've been trying to just find software I can use with my J2534 passthrough, but I havent yet.

Next up is gettign the steering wheel buttons in and finding a radar module so I can get Adaptive Cruise working.

uh I'm gonna dig a pretty old topic if you don't mind ;)
I'm collecting all bits for the swap and got a few questions:

1) is there anyone in the UK who can lend me VXDIAG tool (not for free obviously) ? I don't want to spend £100+ for one project - I'm happy to discuss T&C/deposit etc :)
2) I haven't taken out my IC just yet - waiting for a parcel with trim - but my new IC has HUD already in place and 2 connectors. I've seen @marcu5 has only one and one was blank and HUD was connected with a ribbon tape. I'm not sure what the second connector is doing (IC donor is same year as mine - Mazda 3 2017 Petrol) picture attached

So far my biggest issue is to get ODO correction tool - looking to borrow one or buy an alternative

ODO problem solved with Xtool D7 (black Friday yay!) after reading modules with forscan it looks like mileage is saved in more than one place - after odo correction later today I will report is this changed everywhere

Hey can you change the fuel consumption unit on the cluster? Mine is l/100km, I want to change it into km/l since it's more intuitive.
Never seen in my entire life km/L - you can have miles per gallon or L / 100km. take it or leave it ;)
