Hi all

the instrumentation of the MAZDA 3, is displayed on the gear is engaged.
gear 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

from where part, the signal that tells the electronics that the car is in gear 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5?

In the gearbox there are switches? where are ?
similar to the reverse gear switch?

or in another way it works?
* I think it is not controlled by the number of revolutions of the engine.

Thank you

No it's not controlled by the number of revolutions of engine. That would be very inaccurate. TCM module sends the gear in position data signal to other modules via controller area network (CAN bus).
