Does anyone know when u need to change the timing belt in a Mazda 3 and what is the usual service costs on these cars?
I havent picked up my car yet and thats why i cant check it my self in any car computer etc so im just interested to look up things like this so it dosent come as a big suprise later on.

Im living in Sweden so i would of cource me interested what the prices are in Sweden but please also tell me what price there is in the other countries in EU so i hoepfuly get some kind of clue.

Thanks in advance!

Don't think there's a timing belt on these.Mazda uses chains which do not require replacing.

Most manufacturers have switched from belt to chain for this reason.people don't replace the belts and get angry when they blow their engine...regardless of what the manual or their mechanic says.

Regardless, read your owner's manual.this information in in there.

You have a serpentine belt still. This should be changed around 100k..It could state a little less in the service manual. I just as a rule did it at 100k with a timing or serpentine. But yes no timing belt. A good ol timing chain.

Manual also calls serpentine belt a drive belt.
