I am changing the carpet in my Mazda 3 (2012 4 door).

I came across the drivers side seatbelt assy and there is a pre tensioner with a big warning on it and an odd connector. The battery is disconnected. Can I unplug the orange connector to get the carpet out? How do I unplug.

Will this thing blow up?

I attached some picture for you too.

Mike

I'm not sure what that plug's for, but it looks very similar to the plugs that are in the steering wheel air bag. If it is for the airbag, you have to make sure the battery is unplugged. Get a pick tool and use it to pop the black tab up in the center of the plug, then pull the plug itself.
