Hi to all.

I just recently cleaned my engine’s throttle body (Mazda 3 2010 1.6 liter). TB was removed and cleaned with some special TB cleaning stuff and during this procedure the battery was disconnected.

After the TB cleaning, the car starts normal. When I rev it up above 2500 – 3000 rpm, whe rpm drops, it makes a pause at about 1300 rpm (4-5 seconds) then going slightly up (for half of second) and than normaly drop down at 750 rpm.

Is this normal or? Somehow something was damaged during the cleaning process?

I have a video showing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrlcMh2T-mU

I've done that. Disconnected the battery for 30 min, leave ignition on for one minute, then wait another minute, then start engine and let it idle until cooling fans start. This was the procedure described in the TSB.

Go back under the hood or bonnet and check for any vacuum lines or connectors that may have come loose or broke, if you have WD-40 just spray a little on lines to see if RPM'S change.

Hi and thank you for response.

I've checked the vacuum lines and connectors and everything seems to be fine. It's very strange since, when a/c is on, RPM is dropping normally. When a/c is off, it makes that pause then go slightly up and then go down normally.
