So i noticed that the 2.5 redlines sooner than the 2.0, why is this?

Most likley because it has a longer stroke than the 2.0L, Longer stroke gives it more torque, but long stroke engines are not as well suited for high RPM as short stroke engines.

No, im pretty sure its Mazda's engine. its just a stroked 2.0 so as the other fellow said long stroke isnt as good for high rpm.
