Hi everyone,

I was searching online for rear shocks (prefably monroe) but it says that the ones for 2011 model needs a longer mounting bolt?

I found one on amazon,

It says that these work for the 1st gen mazda 3, but for 2nd gen, u need to make adjustments, could someone point me in the direction of ones that work specifically for the 2nd gen mazda 3? 2010-2013

It seems all the youtube videos and everything are for the 1st gen mainly. Thanks!

The front shocks are interchangeable between both generations, gen1 will fit gen2 visa-versa. Except for the MS3 models. But the gen2 rear shocks are slightly different than the gen1. Not entirely sure if the mounting bolt is the only difference along with modifications. Best to seek out a rear shock that will fit the rear without modifications. Most popular alternative to OEM is Koni Shocks over the Monroes. Koni makes the rears specific to the gen2 Mz3. Best look at Racing Beat for options that will best fit your needs.
